Finsch Diamond Mine is located in the town of Lime Acres which is situated 160km north west of Kimberley and 109km south of Kuruman in the Northern Cape.

Job Description: To ensure optimum security protection measures at operational level, thus reducing asset losses and providing assurance through the implementation of an integrated security program.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to the Operation leadership team on product security as well as implementing appropriate
countermeasures to reduce corporate asset loss - Conduct ongoing assessments i.e. (SWOT) of security policies, practices, procedures and technologies to ensure
alignment with international best practice, and to enable effective mitigation of potential losses. - Engage and develop comprehensive intelligence and insights through interaction with local communities on internal and
external threats to resource protection, and position the operation to respond appropriately to those threats. - Continually review organisational design to ensure efficient and effective delivery across operation
- Drive changes in Security which may be implemented to enhance business operations/projects, and increase the potential
for profit thus creating a high performance culture. - Lead the Security department in a manner that will maximise synergies and enhance value delivery.
Adapt, co-ordinate and test emergency plans and respond appropriately to crisis situations. - Identify vulnerabilities within the mining environment that could be exploited internally and externally
- Manage, integrated security program activities, ensuring effective use of resources and seamless integration of the holistic
security concepts and best practice standards with other disciplines at the Operation - Build professional competence and capacity within the Security function through mentorship, coaching and development
programmes to develop next level of leaders.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification at NQF level 6 (Degree or National Higher Diploma or equivalent) in Security Management or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the security discipline on a mine.
- 4 Years Supervisory experience, preferably on a diamond mine.
- Must have demonstrable crime information management and criminal investigations acumen
- Strong Leadership skills to sustain morale and successfully develop teams
- High-quality analytical skills, strategic thinking and risk management
- A thorough understanding of the mining and processing environments that enables and supports the proactive
identification of vulnerabilities that could be exploited by those with criminal intent - Ability to effectively handle conflict, give and take constructive criticism and also have strong persuasive impact on other.
- Good communication and influencing skills to drive change at all levels within the operation
