Minimum Requirements…
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Section 26 Trade
Certificate – Boilermaker, MIETTB (mining Industry Engineering Trades
Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body e.g:
- Olifantsfontein pre 1994
- ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre) James Park
- GFA (Goldfields Training Academy)
- Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
- Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
- Valid First aid Certificate
- Methane Test / Certificate
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
- More than 1 years’ mining industry experience (Sinking, Underground and Surface)
- More than 1 years’ trade experience as a Boilermaker
Job Specification…
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:- Cost containment
- Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Engineering equipment maintained and repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
- Competent, positive and motivated team
- Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
- Effective stakeholder engagement
